Snowstorm in the night—
the children await the news
at the radio

Viscol în noapte –
copiii ascultă ştirile

Winter solstice—
the last passer-by
crossing by the slush

Solstiţiu de iarnă –
ultimul trecător

Longest night—
the grandmother spins the wool
at the window

listening to the rhapsody
